Q: Can I reserve more than one chapter?

• Yes. You may reserve as many chapters as you want.

Q: My chapter has been published and the next Twister took the story in a direction I don’t like. Can I reserve another chapter to get things “back on track?”

• Yes. You are always free to reserve another chapter to get the story where you want it.

Q: I’m a fan of chapterTWIST and would like to blog about you guys. Can I use your chapters in my blog?

• Wow, thank you for compliment! You may use excerpts from a chapter under the condition that your post contains a link back to http://www.chaptertwist.com

Q: Who holds the copyright to a chapter?

• As per our Terms & Conditions, chapterTWIST is the copyright holder.

Q: I have a question not answered here, how can I get an answer?

• Please send us your question using the Contact Us page.

“Author Style”

Q: I love to write but I’m worried about my chapter containing mistakes, am I responsible for editing?

• No. Before your chapter is published our team will make a thorough check for any errors.

Q: Do I have to introduce a new character in my chapter or can I use a character from one of the previous chapters?

• There are no requirements to introduce a new character. You’re free to use anyone previously mentioned.

Q: How long after I reserve my chapter do I have to submit my work to you?

• We ask that you send your submission within 10 business days.

Q: The chapter before mine hasn’t been published yet, how long do I have until my work is due?

• The 10 day period doesn’t go into effect until the preceding chapter has been published. We will contact you once this happens with the due date for your chapter.

Q: I’m a big fan of (someone famous) can I use their name for my character?

• No. Although you might have the best intentions, (someone famous) might not see things in the same light.

Q: How many pages should my chapter be?

• Chapters are based upon total word count not pages, each chapter should contain 600-1200 words.

Q: What file format should I submit my chapter in?

• Please use the .doc format for submitting your chapters.

Q: I sent my info using your form, how long will it take until I see my chapter?

• After we receive your character’s info we will have a preview of your chapter available within 10 business days.

Q: How many pages will my chapter be?

• Chapters are based upon total word count not pages, each chapter will contain 600-1200 words.

Q: What is a “tidbit?”

• A tidbit is just a brief fact about your character that you want incorporated into your chapter.

Q: Do I have to use my real name for my character?

• No. You are free to use any fictional name for your character.

Q: I’ve always been a big fan of (someone famous), can I use their name for my character?

• No. Although you might have the best intentions, (someone famous) might not see things in the same light.

Q: Will I have a chance to review my chapter before it is published?

• Yes. Before each chapter is published you will have access to a private, password protected page to review and request changes if necessary.

Q: How many changes can I make to my chapter?

• You are allowed two major revisions per chapter.
